ummeed ki vaslehat khushiyon se inkaar mein nahi
zindagi jeene ka maza maut k intezaar mein nahi
khamosh sa har guzarte lamhe ko dekhta hoon
jaise k kuch bhi ab mere ikhtiyaar mein nahi
teri dehleez k siwa is dil ko kahin sukoon nahi
k aisi taufeeq kisi aur dar-o-dayaar mein nahi
khud ka marz khud hi ab shafa kar nayeem
k iska ilaaj bhi kisi aur charahgaar mein nahi
